Onboarding for a young, nonprofit board

Hello dear colleagues. We are a three-year-old nonprofit board. I want to create a professional onboarding experience for two new directors, and also for our 20 existing board members. What kinds of materials should I assemble for a professional and effective onboarding package? Any other suggestions for bringing new directors up to speed also appreciated?

Hi Maya. I am not working with a nonprofit board, but the general idea should be the same. We prepare a board handbook for all directors and provide it to the new directors with some additional orientation materials. We include a variety of corporate documents organized like this About the company About the board About the board meetings About our products and services About the director role and responsibilities About good governance generally Hope this helps
