GRC Pilot membership is private.
GRC Pilot is a peer-to-peer community. We enable our members to explore everything GRC without tracking and selling their interests, behaviors, purchase intent, or browsing history. Our members are free to learn from each other, GRC industry news, and GRC products and services – in private. Our members then decide when to move forward on their needs and research.
Your personal information is never shared, sold, rented, exchanged, or networked.
GRC Pilot collects some basic information about our members so we know what content and services will serve our membership best. A member may manage his membership at any time by selecting from the navigation menu: My Account > My Membership > Edit Membership Profile.
GRC is a team sport, and there is strength in numbers. You may refer a colleague for membership at any time. There is a link to Refer Coleagues in the site’s footer on every page.

GRC Pilot listings connect with GRC professionals in the way they prefer.
GRC Pilot members are a select group with broad interests and needs for GRC products and services. They are busy professionals and notoriously hard to reach. And as is typical of business buyers, they discuss their needs, research solutions, and discover potential offerings in private – long before they engage with vendors. Listings provide the opportunity to be present on that customer’s journey – providing them with valuable information in context at the right moment.
You can learn more by selecting the List/ Sponsor/ Partner link in the site footer at any time. That link will also provide a quick analysis of the value of a lead and the comparative value of a GRC Pilot listing.
A GRC Pilot listing is a rich, interactive presentation of a product or service + lead gen.
GRC Pilot listings provide immediate answers to the questions of your prospects – and existing customers. They permit you to connect at every touchpoint along their customer journey. Each listing provides detailed information such as descriptions, images, video, logo, website, calls to action, ratings, and more. They are cross-linked with your other related listings, categorized, tagged, searchable, and promoted across the site. Listings may be bookmarked for later review and follow up.
Listings profile specific offerings that can be researched and acted upon – purchased, contracted, subscribed, joined, attended, downloaded, etc. Consider a listing to be an interactive, multimedia brochure for a specific product or service. In addition to the main listing presentation, there is a preview card that is displayed in search results and highlighted at the bottom of each page.
Each listing profiles a specific product or service (a free company listing is also provided as an umbrella connecting all products and services created by a Listing Owner).
Listings profile specific offerings that can be researched and acted upon – purchased, contracted, subscribed, joined, attended, downloaded, etc. The listing types, broadly categorized, are:
To promote easy search and discovery by GRC Pilot members, each listing type is comprised of categories, and each product and service is additionally described with tags.
You may learn more about listing types, categories, and tags at any time via the List/ Sponsor/ Partner link in the site footer.
The features and duration of a listing are determined by its listing package.
Additionally, there are some specific listing packages for specific listing types. For example:
Furthermore, Power Listings and Featured Listings may be promoted for highest priority visibility.
Listings are subscriptions that renew automatically. You may upgrade, downgrade, cancel, or abandon any subscription at any time.
You may learn more about listing options at any time via the List/ Sponsor/ Partner link in the site footer.
GRC Pilot is regularly creating basic listings for interesting GRC products and services. If we have created a listing for one of yours, you may “claim” it and provide richer and more effective detail.
To claim an existing, unclaimed listing, click on its preview card and visit the listing’s main page. There you will see a “quick action” button beneath the cover image labeled “Claim Listing.” You will then be able to choose the listing level and provide the rich detail appropriate to your listing.
To claim a listing, your membership level must be GRC Listing Owner; and you must be logged in.
GRC Professional members may switch their membership to GRC Listing Owner by editing their membership profile in My Account > My Membership.
“Everything GRC.” Every GRC technology, service, community, event, briefing document, and job should be listed on GRC Pilot. The benefit for our members is great, and the value for the listing provider is unlimited.
To create a listing, your membership level must be GRC Listing Owner; and you must be logged in.
To begin, select from the navigation menu GRC Listings > Add Your Free Listings. On the Add Your Listings page you will be prompted to select the appropriate listing type: Service, Technology, Community, Event, Briefing, Career, or Company.
You will then choose the listing package. Each package option is described with its features. With the listing package selected, you will be presented with a form in which you can describe your product, add a logo, upload images, and much, much more. You may preview or save the listing and return to it to augment or edit the presentation at any time.
The final step will be to pay for the listing if there is an associated cost – Market Listings and Company Umbrella Listings are free. At that point your are good to go, and your listing can begin to influence the understanding and decision making of our GRC Pilot membership.
At any time, select the List/ Sponsor/ Partner link in the site footer for additional background on listing types, listing packages, and pricing.
GRC Listing Owners may manage their listings at any time.
To begin, select from the navigation menu: My Account > My Listings > Review/ Manage Listings.
This is your listings dashboard. In the Manage My Listings tab you can choose the listing card of one of your listings then: edit or delete it; switch its listing package; promote it for a limited time; or view statistics of the listing’s performance.
The tab includes listings that are published, pending and expired. Expired listings may be relisted.
There is an additional option for editing the content of your listing. If you visit the listing page for that particular product or service listing you will notice a pencil icon following the listing’s title. If you click that pencil icon, you will then be able to edit the listing directly from that location.
GRC Pilot is a peer-to-peer, member community. We have much of value to share with each other.
We welcome contributions – regular articles and occasional pieces – from our GRC pros. Prospective writers should contact the editor. The Write/ Contribute link in the site footer provides a contact form along with a discussion of who should write and why, what, and how to write for GRC Insight.
Who should write? The simple answer is anyone with GRC knowledge that can add to our understanding. And – by definition – that means members of the GRC Pilot community. Who might this include?
Hopefully this includes you. The Write/ Contribute link in the site footer provides additional discussion as well as a form to contact the editor and get started.
GRC Pilot favors writing that is intelligent, informative, and concise. We will consider publishing in any of the following formats with the noted target length. Exceptions should be discussed with the editor.
GRC Pilot is a private community and some content is restricted to qualified members. To access restricted content please join us. Membership is free.
We look forward to your suggestions. Please use the Contact Us link in the footer for the contact form for listings questions/suggestions.
We are delighted to have your ideas. Please use the Contact Us link in the site footer for the form to contact the editor.
GRC Pilot is a private community. A distinctive characteristic is that a member may freely engage in the content and forums without receiving unwelcome contact. We believe this prioritizes the quality and objectivity of the information shared on the site, and allows members with a high profile to participate fully. There are other platforms, such as social networks, which prioritize contact.
We recognize, however, that some members would like to be contacted by other members. We will review options, and appreciate your comments on the topic.
GRC Pilot does not accept advertising other than the site’s product/service Listings. Please see the List/ Sponsor/ Partner link in the site footer for additional information.
GRC Pilot does not sell, rent, or share our list of members or any member data. GRC Pilot does not participate in or integrate with any advertising network, search engine, or social media site. GRC Pilot members use the site and view listings without their activity being tracked by third party advertisers or vendors.
GRC Pilot offers a limited number of sponsorship opportunities for certain site content, newsletter content, and for the site as a whole. Please use the List/ Sponsor/ Partner link in the site footer to learn more.
If you are unable to find the answer to your question above, or to report a problem with the site, please use this contact form to alert Support and permit us to get back to you with a resolution.
GRC Pilot, grcpilot.com, and our logos are trade names and trademarks of GRC Pilot.
GRC Pilot is committed to keeping our site accessible to everyone. We welcome feedback on ways to improve this site’s accessibility.
The answer is a resounding “YES!” if you have GRC knowledge, experience, or expertise to share.
GRC Pilot is an amazing community. It is not a social site; and it is not a networking site. It is the source GRC pros turn to for news and guidance: to stay on top of their profession, and get quick answers. They want to discover, research, move forward with new solutions, and upgrade current practices. Listings are your opportunity to reach them early in their journey, and guide them through to decision. Your services and products and content should be featured here.

Rather listings profile specific offerings that can be researched and acted upon – purchased, contracted, subscribed, joined, attended, downloaded, etc. Consider a listing to be an interactive, multimedia brochure for a specific product or service. A company umbrella listing highlights and connects your listings for related products, services, etc.
See this first table for a quick look at the general relationship between the lifetime value of a customer, marketing spend objective, and the target cost of a lead. Think of the target cost per lead as the maximum you should spend today to acquire a new customer and achieve your profit objective. (e.g. if the lifetime value of your customer is $50,000, then you should be willing to spend up to $1,500 to get one lead or $15,000 to get ten leads.) Then, for comparison, take a look at the second table that shows the cost of a listing on GRC Pilot.
This lead cost below, of course, is per lead – regardless of the quality. The cost of your listing on GRC Pilot, in contrast, is fixed. See the second table below for comparison. Your GRC Pilot listings put your products and services in front of your prospects, at the right time, in the right context, with the right content, at a modest fixed cost, with uncapped potential leads.

While Listings are focused on individual products and services, Sponsorship promotes the umbrella of your brand. Sponsorship highlights your brand or company and demonstrates your commitment and support for the hardworking governance, risk, and compliance community.
Sponsorship has broad reach and links directly back to your company listing and your corporate website or brand landing page.
Sponsorship opportunities are exclusive, limited, and are available in calendar blocks.

Making GRC Listings work for you is easy. They were designed for just that purpose.
Be present on your buyer’s journey from the first step. Support your new prospects and maintain your existing customers when they start their research and before they reach out to you or competitors.
How can you as a provider of important GRC services, technologies, communities, or events connect with those who need those same offerings? Social marketing tools and aggressive sales methods are so intrusive that potential buyers avoid revealing their intentions until they have made their decision.
Good news! Your prospects can research in private and you can connect with them at every learning moment and decision point. Here’s how.
Context and community are the foundation of GRC Pilot. Comprehensive GRC news monitoring; trusted GRC analysis and data; supportive GRC Q&A; and privacy: These create the environment of trust in which providers present their GRC offerings and prospects discover, review, and decide.
You can build your brand by participating. You can actively engage in the GRC Q&A, or possibly become a contributor to GRC Insight. Above all, however, you should make use of GRC Listings. GRC Listings puts your offerings on the prospect’s buyer’s journey before their interest or intentions are public. And every listing supports you corporate SEO strategy with additional authority and links.
Listings are free or have a minimal cost.
Look at a classic sales funnel.
At this stage there is no involvement by the vendor, who is unaware the prospect is beginning its research. The prospect wants to surface options and criteria. What is important? How will they make a decision? And among whom will they choose? GRC Pilot maintains this privacy for the prospect, and in so doing allow vendors to showcase their offerings, establish their competence, and generally be of assistance in the process.
Goal: Get found. Build trust and confidence. Educate. Explain. Set the terms of discussion and evaluation.
Step 1. Create a listing for your service, technology, community, or event. Include plenty of descriptive detail since the listings are searchable within GRC Pilot – and also optimized for discovery on external search engines (Google). Categorize and tag your listing for maximum exposure. Listings are free or have a minimal cost.
Step 2. Create additional listings for each of your other GRC offerings and a Company listing to serve as an umbrella and link all your offerings together. The more targeted listings the better. You will be creating a web of visibility (and SEO) that spans GRC Pilot, search engines, your corporate website, and your social media presence.
Step 3. Add content marketing documents as GRC Briefings. Introductory documents such as Buyers Guides, eBooks, and Infographics build awareness, familiarity, and trust.
At this stage, the prospect still does not want to talk with vendors. Their team is focused internally as they prioritize features/benefits, strengths/weaknesses, ratings/comments, size/service/cost. GRC Pilot helps the prospect to do this efficiently while engaging with the details of your offerings and your marketing content.
Goal: Get in the Consideration Set. Highlight features and benefits. Establish your vision, approach, and competence. Differentiate from competitors.
Step 1. Ensure that your existing listings have the rich content – image gallery, video, social media links – that can support the prospect’s deeper dive into your listing.
Step 2. Add GRC Briefings listings for your important content marketing documents – whitepapers, reports, research results, even press releases. Briefing listings allow you to influence the evaluation and make the case for your perspective, your criteria, your value.
Step 3. List your webinars as GRC Events.
Decision time. At this stage, the prospect determines its final candidates and initiates face-to-face presentations, demos, and hands-on experience. You need to support the final winnowing and make direct contact easy and frictionless.
Goal: Make the connection. Get the presentation. Highlight features and benefits and client support. Prove performance. Win the business.
Step 1. Make use of all the the listing’s contact options: phone, email, website, direct message, social media links.
Step 2. Establish you market performance. Add testimonials to your listing. Have clients rate and comment on your listing.
Step 3. Add GRC Briefing documents that can be your detailed ambassadors at the time of decision such as Tutorials and Case Studies.
Finally, at any point, you can increase the visibility of any of your listings by featuring it or promoting it. There is cost for featuring (long term) or promoting (short term) a listing. The benefit is that it raises the priority with which a listing is displayed on the site. So, if you find yourself wishing to heighten visibility in your category or during a particular selling season, consider featuring or promoting your listing.
Meet you prospects at the top of the funnel and support them through to decision. Allow them to research the way they choose – in private – while you build awareness, trust, and confidence in your brand – steadily making your case. GRC Pilot makes it possible.
Listings include the broad range of offerings serving the professionals of Governance, Risk, and Compliance. The categories are intentionally broad, and the tags are narrowly focused on defining features. Both Categories and Tags are continuously evolving; so feel free to suggest terms that might best suit your offering when you create your listing.
Each Listing is described by a single Category and multiple Tags. Listings are further defined with additional characteristics, but Categories and Tags are important in how they group products together to aid members in their discovery of new offerings.
Service Listings include the broad range of GRC services provided with the knowledge, experience, and expertise of focused firms and professionals.
